Christine M. Erickson (AL)

Biography

Christine began her career in public service by representing District 11 in the South Dakota House of Representatives. After serving a term in the House, she was elected as an at-large member of the Sioux Falls City Council in 2014.

A graduate from National American University and University of Sioux Falls, Christine is a small business owner and stay-at-home mom. She and her husband, Tony, are the proud parents of three boys: Anthony, Braylon, and Charlie.

Christine and Tony are members at Central Baptist Church, where they are actively involved in a small group and various volunteer positions. Christine has served at Central as the leader of a large, local MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group, which serves approximately 100 mothers within the city. She also volunteers weekly in her son’s classroom, in addition to helping coach his soccer team.

Councilor Erickson also looks at other topics including the summer youth bus pass called Freedom Pass, National Citizen Survey, the Bishop Dudley House, and the role of the City Council.
