Patient Support Technician Job Opportunities

Rate: $14.96 per hour

The City of Sioux Falls Health Department is seeking a part-time Patient Support Technician to provide customer service to patients at Falls Community Health. This is a part-time, non-benefitted position that will work up to 28 hours per week based on clinic needs. The position will be working at the front desk and scheduling phone for the medical clinic. Duties include the ability to schedule, confirm, and register patients for clinic appointments, both in person and over the phone. Verify financial eligibility, third party coverage, collect payments, and answer questions regarding billing. Work closely with clinical teams as directed. Scan and maintain patient medical records. Arrange patient transportation and coordinate access to care and disease prevention.

Well qualified candidates will have experience with customer service duties at the front desk in a health clinic environment and familiarity with an EMR system. EOE.
