Pets Caught Reading - Siouxland Libraries Celebrates National Pet Month

Siouxland Libraries is observing National Pet Month with a photo contest and support of the Sioux Falls Humane Society’s pet supply and food drive. Both run May 1 through 31.

Photogenic pets (and whose isn’t?) will be the focus of the Caille Branch Library’s Pets Caught Reading contest. Photos of pets “reading,” “listening” to an Audiobook or “using” library digital resources will be accepted at every Siouxland Libraries branch throughout the month. Please include your name and contact information on the back of your submitted photo.

Entries may also be submitted through Instagram by tagging @Siouxlandlib in the photo.

The top three photos will win prizes; all will be displayed at the Caille Branch Library, located at 4100 South Carnegie Circle.

Those wishing to help the Humane Society may drop off donations at any Siouxland Libraries branch. Ask a librarian for a list of needed items.
