Preschool Science at Siouxland Libraries
Children are born ready to learn—and their brains grow with amazing speed. By age five, when many youngsters start kindergarten, prereading, language, and math foundations are in place—which is why Siouxland Libraries offers a variety of programs for early learners.
A brand new addition is the Preschool Science Program at Prairie West Branch Library, 7630 West 26th Street. The program features stories and hands-on exploration to introduce science concepts and fun for children three to five years old. It is offered one Saturday a month from 3 to 3:45 p.m. on these dates:
• January 21―Three Little Pigs
• February 18―Body Science
• March 18―Counting and Measuring
• April 15―Weather
• May 20―Space
Each program offers learning experiences that can inspire and motivate children to learn and explore more on their own. No registration is required. If an ADA accommodation is needed, please contact the Human Relations Office at 605-367-8745 or firstname.lastname@example.org at least 72 hours before the event.
