Structure Fire—2709 East 12th Street

On March 5, 2017, at 9:45 p.m., Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a report of a structure fire at 2709 East 12th Street.

First-arriving crews found flames coming from the exterior of a multifamily building. The fire had spread into the attic of the building. Crews were able to extinguish the fire within ten minutes of the first arriving. Everyone was out of the structure on firefighters’ arrival. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with four fire trucks, two support vehicles, and a total of 18 personnel. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was assisted on the scene by Sioux Falls Police and the Red Cross.
