Local Mystery Writer to Discuss Creative Process
Mary Angela, author of the Professor Prather mysteries, will be at Siouxland Libraries Downtown Library, 200 North Dakota Avenue, on Thursday, October 12, 2017, for a 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. presentation. She will discuss her inspiration for the series and its campus setting.
Mary Angela is the pen name of Mary Honerman, who teaches English at the University of Sioux Falls. Her books, An Act of Murder and Passport to Murder, are set on a college campus in the Midwest which, the author says, “captures my love of the Great Plains and university life.”
The series has been called “enjoyable” and “clever” by Publishers Weekly. It is published by Camel Press, an imprint of Coffeetown Press in Seattle, Washington. The first two books in the series will be available for purchase.
