Parking Will Be Tight During Back-to-Back Garth Shows

Thursday News Conference Will Prepare You for It

What:   News conference to announce parking and shuttle options for the Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood concerts beginning this weekend at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center
When:    Thursday, September 14, 2017
2:30 p.m.
Where:   Earl McCart Fields
2001 West Madison Street
Who:   Mayor Mike Huether
Terry Torkildson, General Manager, Denny Sanford PREMIER Center
Matt Nelson, Public Parking Manager, City of Sioux Falls
Why: The Denny Sanford PREMIER Center will host nine sold-out Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood concerts this month. While parking at the PREMIER Center has historically been a success during other sold-out events, the back-to-back crowds could overlap during some of the upcoming concert days. The City of Sioux Falls and SMG have implemented parking and traffic control measures and are encouraging concert goers to arrive early and take the free shuttles from the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds. On Thursday, come to the news conference to learn more about efforts to make the pre-concert experience a positive one for attendees.
