Barricaded Subject Arrested Without Incident

On April 15, 2018, at approximately 6:15 p.m., the Sioux Falls Police Department responded to a subject breaking windows in a residence near the intersection of North Cleveland Avenue and East Eighth Street. Investigation determined it was a domestic situation where several adults and children had fled the residence and a lone male suspect had barricaded himself inside. A perimeter was established and contact was attempted with the subject until approximately 8 p.m. when he voluntarily exited the residence and was taken into custody without incident.

Emmanuel J. Mila, 37 years old, was charged with aggravated assault domestic, simple assault domestic, simple assault, no contact order violation, and felony intentional damage to property.
