Siouxland Libraries Hosts Art Contest for Teens
Students in Grades 6 through 12 are invited to imagine, design, and create an original work of art―and compete for one of three top entries in the following age categories:
- Grades 6 to 8
- Grades 9 and 10
- Grades 11 and 12
Entries should be submitted online at www.siouxlandlib.org/teens.The deadline is Friday, June 1, 2018.
Winners will be announced Tuesday, June 12, at a 6 to 7 p.m. art show and award ceremony at Siouxland Libraries Ronning Branch, 3100 East 49th Street.
First-place winners in each category will receive a $50 gift certificate donated by Jam Art & Supplies and an interview to be featured on Jam Art’s blog. Second- and third-place winners will receive $25 gift certificates, donated by Jam Art & Supplies.
All art show participants will be entered into a prize drawing for two free passes donated by Wild Water West and other door prizes.
