Street Closure - Foss Avenue

Beginning on Friday, May 11, 2018, South Foss Avenue south of Arrowhead Parkway will be closed to complete a watermain connection. Access to Foss Avenue north of Arrowhead Parkway will be maintained.

This work is anticipated to be complete and re-opened to traffic within a few days.

This is part of the ongoing Arrowhead Parkway reconstruction project.

The overall project is anticipated to be complete later this fall.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closure – Western Avenue

Beginning on Thursday morning, May 10, 2018, the outside northbound lane of South Western Avenue will be closed for approximately 200 feet north and south of West 50th Street.

Engbarth Directional Drilling will be performing utility work.

This work is anticipated to be complete by the end of the day on May 11, 2018.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes. 

Street Closures – Career Avenue and Maple Lane

Beginning on Monday, May 14, 2018, North Career Avenue will be closed south of the Southeast Tech campus to North Terry Avenue. Traffic will be detoured along West Madison Street, North Marion Road, and West Maple Street.  Additionally, North Maple Lane will closed to thru-traffic between West Maple Street and West Innovation Street. Traffic will be detoured along West Maple Street, North Career Avenue and West Innovation Street. Access will be maintained to local businesses and the Southeast Tech campus.

This is the first phase of a project to resurface North Career Avenue between West Innovation Street and North Terry Avenue and North Maple Lane between West Innovation Street and West Maple Street.

In addition to asphalt resurfacing, this project will also replace ADA curb ramp sidewalks, areas of concrete curb and gutter, and complete minor storm and sanitary sewer repairs.

This work is anticipated to be complete by mid-July 2018. Additional updates will be provided for future phases.
