Living Library to Focus on Arts and Sciences

Don’t judge a book by its cover! Talk with human “books” on Friday, June 1, 2018, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Washington Pavilion, 301 South Main Avenue.

The Living Library features unique stories by local musicians, writers, scientists, and artists. The following are among the “books” available for “checkout”:

  • Teen author: Brooklynn Gross
  • Beading apprentice: Kellie Bingen
  • Art therapist: Lisa Brunick
  • Artist in recovery: Joan Zephier
  • Former geneticist turned artist: Kelly Nelson

Broaden your perspective of our diverse community and enter to win a prize. The event is cosponsored by Compassionate Sioux Falls and Siouxland Libraries.

Living Library is being held in conjunction with the Washington Pavilion’s Free First Friday program. Museum access will be free to the Visual Arts Center and Kirby Science Discovery Center from 5 to 8 p.m.
