Spooky Contest

Spooky Stories Writing Contest

Put your spooky writing skills to the test, submit your best scary story by October 27, and be prepared perform it! The winner will be determined by the loudest applause, so friends and family are encouraged to come and watch! Open to ghouls in K-6 grade.

Halloween Stories

Come in costume for this special Halloween storytime! Listen to slightly scary stories, make a spooky craft, and trick-or-treat around the library. No registration required.

Main Branch: Sunday, October 26 at 2 p.m.

Dare to Be

Who would you dare to be?

Join us at the Prairie West Library for stories and activities from The Dangerous Book for Boys and The Daring Book for Girls. Collect weekly stamps in your field guide on a journey of discovery! For kids, grades 1-4.

Wednesday, October 29, 3:15 p.m. -- Dare to be a Wizard! Follow the yellow Brick Road to "Oz" and create a Wizard of Oz inspired craft! Registration is not required.
