South Dakota Children's Book Awards
Voting begins October 1 and ends April 1. Winners will be announced in April. Visit the South Dakota State Library website for more information or to cast your vote.
Each year, preschool through first grade students are encouraged to read and vote for their favorite book to receive the South Dakota "Prairie Bud" award.
Each year, second and third grade students can vote on their favorite book to determine which title wins the South Dakota "Prairie Bloom" award.
Each year, fourth and fifth grade students cast their vote to determine which title wins the South Dakota "Prairie Pasque" award.
Caldecott Medal Winners
