The Mission of Siouxland Libraries

In providing services, Siouxland Libraries continually seeks to identify and meet informational, educational, recreational, and cultural needs. The ultimate aim is to bring its rich, varied resources to potential users, serving individuals and groups within its service area and beyond. Services are provided as a public good through the most efficient, economical, and effective use of facilities, staff, and material, in full cooperation with other institutions and organizations.

In 1995 Siouxland Libraries was created by a merger of the Sioux Falls Public Library and the Minnehaha County Rural Public Library. Siouxland Libraries provides services to the citizens of Sioux Falls and Minnehaha County (except Dell Rapids).
