Benson Road and I-229 Area Improvements Public Open House
The City of Sioux Falls, South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in collaboration with the Sioux Falls Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), will hold a public open house on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Sioux Falls Water Reclamation Facility, located at 4500 North Sycamore Avenue. A short presentation will be given at approximately 5:35 p.m.
The public open house is to inform area residents, business owners, and commuters of the study, to introduce and begin receiving public input on the environmental study for the I-229 and Benson Road Interchange, to record any concerns the public may have along the study’s corridor, and to remind the public of the ideas for the I-229 Major Investment Study for the corridor along Benson Road between Lewis Avenue and Hall Avenue. The study would also include improvement options to the Exit 9 Interchange at I-229. The public open house will allow for one-on one-discussion and participation with the study team.
The meeting will also be livestreamed and you will be able to enter questions and to watch live at www.facebook.com/CitySiouxFalls.
For those who cannot attend the open house, participate in the livestream, or desire additional information on the overall study, information is available online at www.bensonroadproject.com.
The presentations and displays shown at the open house will be available online within a few days after the open house meeting. The website also allows for online comments to be submitted until the end of the study period on November 8, 2018.
