Adult Winter Reading Program

Baby, it’s cold outside!

Bundle yourself up and join us at these special events happening during our Winter Reading Program.

Program dates: January 1 through March 31, 2015

How to register: Go to the online reading log to create an account

How to participate: Adults 18 and older, you can write reviews of books you’ve read between January 1 and March 31. Write at least one review to be entered into random drawings, and five or more to be entered into grand prize drawings. (Siouxland Libraries staff may participate in the Adult Winter Reading Program, but will not be eligible for prizes.)

Grand prizes will be awarded and weekly drawings will be held.

Escape the Ordinary Movie: Oscar Film Series 

January 18, 25; February 1, 8, 15, 22; March 1, 8, 15, 22, 29 at 2 p.m.

Escape the Ordinary Trivia: Monks Trivia Night 

January 27 and March 24 at 6 p.m.
Monks House of Ale Repute

Join the library for trivia night at Monks House of Ale Repute! Test your trivia knowledge and compete for prizes. Come by yourself or with a team. Must be 21 or older to attend. Food and beverage will be available
for purchase. Monks is located at 420 East Eighth Street. Registration is required. Call the Downtown Library at 367‑8720 for more information.

Escape the Ordinary Donation: Operation Paperback 

March 1 through 31
All Siouxland Libraries Locations
Operation Paperback partners with volunteers across the country to collect and ship paperback books to American troops overseas and military families and veterans here in the United States. Siouxland Libraries will be collecting mass-market paperback books during the month of March. They currently have a surplus of romance books, and we would ask that this genre is not donated.
