Teens: Explore the Universe at Ronning

Teens in grades 6 through 12 who are looking for challenging fun can head to Siouxland Libraries’ Ronning Branch, 3100 East 49th Street, every Monday in June to Explore the Universe.

Here’s the plan:

  • Moon Race: Do you have the right stuff to be the best astronaut for a trip out of this world? This relay race will tell! Monday, June 3, 2019, 2-3 p.m.
  • Galaxy Shoes: Decorate your shoes with markers and fabric paint. Galaxy shoes are out of this world! You bring a pair of plain white canvas shoes; we’ll provide the markers and paint. Monday, June 10, 2019, 2-3 p.m.
  • Interactive E.T. movie: Immerse yourself in the world of Steven Spielberg’s E.T. at this interactive showing of the film. Participants will receive a script with specific instructions and actions to do throughout the movie. Movie has a 1 hour, 55 minute run time. Red hoodies are encouraged, but not required. Monday, June 17, 2-4 p.m.
  • Guardians of the Galaxy Party: Make sweet "Groot" treats, watch Guardians of the Galaxy and work on a themed break-out box! Monday, June 24, 2-4 p.m.
