Local Writer’s Mystery Thriller, Balance, Takes Place in Sioux Falls

Local author Daniel Van Deest will introduce Patricia “Tish” Lindstrom, his fictional detective, on Saturday, October 5, 2019, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Siouxland Libraries Downtown Library, 200 North Dakota Avenue.

A detective in the Sioux Falls Police Department, Lindstrom is grappling with growing public negativity toward law enforcement, her desire to be a good cop, and an even greater commitment to being a good mother. Her latest case, a mutilated body dumped in the Big Sioux River, push her beliefs and actions to the limit.

Van Deest will discuss his writing process, answer questions about Balance, and share an excerpt from his next book in the series.

Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing at the event.

Registration is required to guarantee your seat. If you cannot attend, please cancel your reservation as a courtesy to those on the wait-list.
