Parenting is hard. No matter the stage of raising kids you are in, Siouxland Libraries is here to help. 

We are thrilled to offer you access to ParentTV. Think Netflix but for parenting resources!  

Here are 5 things you should know about this FREE database. 

 

1. Who is ParentTV for? 

ParentTV offers 2000+ videos to support those who care for children, from pregnancy through teenage years. Learn about child development, mental health, behavior, school readiness, technology, nutrition, and more. 

Example videos: 

  • Can I speak to my baby in a different language? 
  • My kid ate everything and now they won’t eat anything 
  • Understanding your teen’s thoughts 

2. What if I don’t have a lot of time? 

Most videos are under 10 minutes in length, providing a quick way to access answers to parenting questions that arise. 

3. Who will I learn from? 

ParentTV works with leading psychologists, pediatricians, mental health specialists, nutritionists, occupational therapists and parenting educators to provide the latest research. 

4. Can I listen to videos in other languages? 

In addition to English, videos are available in Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi and Spanish. 

5. How do I sign up? 

Access ParentTV anywhere with your library card. Simply enter the barcode located on the back of your card. Need a library card? Sign up online or come visit us at one of our library locations
