Provide Input on Walkability: Come to the Pedestrian Plan Open House

The City of Sioux Falls Planning & Development Services department will kick off an update to the City’s Pedestrian Plan at an open house on Tuesday, September 3, 2019, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Carnegie Town Hall, 235 West Tenth Street, in the overflow room. The public is encouraged to attend.

The open house is designed to engage the public as the first step of updating the Pedestrian Plan. The Pedestrian Plan includes recommendations and policies toward a more walkable and pedestrian-friendly community. Open house participants will be the first to take a walkability survey that will provide staff with input into possible changes to the Pedestrian Plan. In addition, citizens can apply to participate on a pedestrian plan steering committee that will provide citizen input during the plan update process.

The public is encouraged to attend anytime during the open house to provide input. There will be no formal presentation. If you are unable to attend, you may log on to to take the survey and apply for the steering committee after the open house.

If an ADA accommodation is needed, please contact the Human Relations Office at 605-367-8745 or at least 72 hours before the event.
