Anne Sullivan Students Will Perform a Holiday Music Program at the City Center on December 10, 2019
About 100 fourth-grade students from Anne Sullivan Elementary School will perform their 2019 Annual Holiday Music Program for the Mayor, City Council, and all City employees on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 10 a.m. The performance will take place in the lobby at the City Center, 231 North Dakota Avenue.
For 24 years, the City has partnered with Anne Sullivan Elementary School through the School Business Partnership Program. Nine City employees representing five City departments (Fire Rescue, Health, Siouxland Libraries, Parks and Recreation, and Planning and Development Services) serve on the committee to act as positive role models to the students by encouraging good grades, supporting the arts, advocating for good citizenship, and more. Russ Sorenson, Urban Planner for the City, serves as the liaison between the school and the City.
“By serving on this committee, we have the opportunity to really make a positive impact on students and the entire elementary school, and these great kids have a positive impact on all of us, too,” Sorenson says.
The public and media are encouraged to attend the December 10 holiday performance at the City Center.
