Intersection Closure – Southeastern Avenue and 33rd Street

Beginning on Monday, September 23, 2019, East 33rd Street will be closed at Southeastern Avenue to allow crews to install a new sanitary sewer manhole. Motorists should utilize Woodland Hills Road or Old Orchard Trail as an alternate route.

This work is anticipated to be complete in approximately ten working days.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes. 

Intersection Closures – Minnesota Avenue at 11th, 14th, and 18th Street

Beginning on Monday, September 23, 2019, the intersections of West 11th Street and Minnesota Avenue, West 14th Street and Minnesota Avenue, and West 18th Street and Minnesota Avenue will be intermittently closed to allow construction crews to pave through those intersections. 

West 11th Street will be closed at Minnesota Avenue for approximately a four hour time period starting after the peak morning commute. Traffic will be detoured to Grange Avenue and Ninth Street as an alternate route. 

West 4th Street and 18th Street will be closed to the west of Minnesota Avenue for approximately a four hour time period starting at noon. Traffic will be detoured to Grange Avenue and 22nd Street as an alternate route. 

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while travelling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Street Closure – Mogen Avenue

Beginning on Monday, September 23, 2019, Mogen Avenue will be closed north of 69th Street to allow crews to reconstruct the north half of 69th Street in this area. Connie Avenue and Sharon Avenue remain closed north of 69th Street as well. Access to Connie Avenue, Mogen Avenue, and Sharon Avenue north of 69th Street will be maintained via Avera Drive. 

Motorists on Avera Drive are encouraged to turn south onto Louise Avenue and make a U-turn at 69th or 74th Street rather than trying to turn north at this intersection during this work.

These closures are anticipated to last approximately one month.

Lane Closure - Sixth Street

Beginning on Monday, September 23, 2019, both eastbound and westbound lanes on Sixth Street will be shifted and lane widths reduced between Weber Avenue and Cliff Avenue to allow construction crews to perform utility repair work. One lane of traffic in each direction will be maintained at all times.

Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete by Friday, September 27, 2019.
