Residents Invited To Open House For Conversation About Public Transit

Sioux Area Metro and the City of Sioux Falls are hosting a pair of open house meetings for residents to learn about the draft Transit Development Plan. These open house opportunities will also allow the public to voice their opinions about the plan.

Each open house will have SAM staff and City planners available to answer questions and receive feedback at the below meeting times:

  • 3 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 19: Downtown Bus Depot (120 East 11th Street)
  • 4 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20: Downtown Library (200 North Dakota Avenue)

The feedback collected during these open house meetings will be incorporated into the final Sioux Falls Transit Development Plan. The Transit Development Plan contains public transportation system strategies and an implementation plan for new hybrid service system that includes modified routes, on-demand services, and updated paratransit services.
