Pedestrian Planning

The City of Sioux Falls Planning and Development Services Department is updating the City’s Pedestrian Plan. The Pedestrian Plan includes recommendations and policies leading Sioux Falls to be more walkable and a pedestrian-friendly community.

This project was kicked off on September 3, 2019 with an open house held at the Carnegie Town Hall followed by a presentation to the City Council at the informational meeting. During the month of September, an online survey was available giving us input about our community’s future walkability.

Interested citizens formed a pedestrian plan steering committee; this committee will provide a forum for citizen input during the pedestrian plan update process.
